In order to be successful, you have to be willing to give up things that you hold near and dear to you. If you want to do better in school, you have to be willing to give up partying and sleep so you can study. If you want to do be a healthy person, you’re going to have to put down the video game and take a walk instead. Sometimes these sacrifices are bigger than our goals. Sometimes we would rather play on our phones then be successful. Imagine how different things would be if you didn’t take your phone in the bathroom with you. Imagine if you had a book or a notebook in the bathroom instead and while you’re in there, you read or wrote down your thoughts. How much closer would you be to your goals?

Doing this training makes me feel relevant in the my job field again. But while I’m here, I don’t dwell on the things I can’t do, but rather take advantage of the things I can do. Sometimes, that means I have to sacrifice video chats with my family to get better. That’s difficult, but that’s necessary.
