One difficult thing in living a happy life is all of the negative things that happen in your life, but it’s all about your mindset. It’s how you handle these situations that will affect you for the rest of your life. Stop holding on and stop dwelling on all of these things you can’t control or things that already happened. They’ve already happened and you can’t change that. Learn from it, don’t dwell on it and move on already.
Any time someone asks me how I’m doing, my response is always the same: outstanding. I might have had some rough things happen to me that day, I might be exhausted and stressed, but I’m not going to let that overpower me. I’m going to make myself feel happy and be happy. No one can make you happy, but you. You have to want to be happy or else whenever someone tries, it will not work.
Every time I answer the phone and someone asks me how I’m doing, I’m outstanding. I’ve actually had someone ask me twice: “Are you really outstanding or are you just saying that?” When I first began replying outstanding, maybe the first 2-3 times, I was just saying it to try out the phrase. After that, I’ve always meant it. Every time that I respond with “outstanding” I feel great and it reminds me of all the great things that are going on in my life. There was a chance that I could have nothing, but I chose to live a positive lifestyle and a happier one instead of dwelling on the past and the negative.
There is a time for reflection, but do not overanalyze. This will lead to you dwelling on the negative situation, instead of moving on. Stop holding on. If you want to live the best life you can live, then make positive changes in your life. Make the most of the time that you have, because you will always feel behind, when you could be ahead. Keep a positive mindset. What’s your excuse?
