Effort is Contagious

Effort is contagious.  It’s an infectious cure that goes around and helps push some people to the next level.  We are all influencers and with every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.  Most of us do not like getting outworked and we respond to it in different ways.  We will either work harder and win the competition or we will be like crabs in a boiling pot and pull others to die along with us.  If we are at the gym working out and we see someone who is in really good shape, we look at what they are doing and we try to emulate that or be jealous.  If we were doing some sort of competition such as an obstacle course, we want to win and will push ourselves through victory.

When someone you know is making progress in their life, will you become jealous or let that effort infect you?  Effort is a viral infection and it’s something that you want to catch.  When someone races down the basketball court after a defensive stand, the effort level is significantly higher because someone showed more effort and effort is contagious.  You begin pushing yourself more and more.  Are you picking up what I’m putting down?  Don’t be the jealous person, but rather be the inspiration or the inspired.  Be the one to help push others and you will feel a greater purpose in pushing yourself.  If you don’t do it for yourself, do it for others.

Which type of person are you: jealous or inspirational?   Why aren’t you putting for the necessary effort to be successful?  What’s your excuse?

Please comment and share an experience in which someone’s effort helped you give more effort.
