June Progress Report

For people to continue pushing  through the struggles to reach their new goals, it is important to see how far they have gone in order to not lose faith that they are making progress in the right direction.  I feel like my organizational skills are improving, but not quite there, yet.  So here is my known progress on my 2018 Goals:

First, let’s start with this blog and this business.  I’ve gained around 37 followers on Facebook, 30 something followers on Twitter, a handful of followers on WordPress and I created a Pinterest and YouTube account.  My goal that I stated was to have 250 likes on Facebook, and I can check that one off as I am at 266 for the end of June.  These numbers may seem small, but the good thing is, they are moving up.  Slow gains are still gains.  WordPress says I published 8 blog posts last month which is more than the previous 2 months combined.  I’m trying to create more and better content for everyone to read.  July should bring some longer posts.

As for my physical fitness, I worked on my run more and did not focus on my strength training nearly as much.  But, the good news is, I was able to lose around 5 pounds this month and found a drive to better my run.  Obviously, I am still working on a better routine, but the numbers don’t lie.  I had one great week in running and walking, in which I made Impossible = I’m Possible and I will use that momentum to make even more progress.  I’m excited to see where I will be by the end of July.

Knowledge is power.  I truly believe that.  I finished another class and this one was extremely beneficial and helped me have a working business plan.  The plan needs a lot of adjusting because it was for school, but soon I will have a much more detailed plan and have long term and short term goals and projections.  I have been slacking in my reading goals, but now that I don’t have any more college classes until next year, I can focus on my reading more.  I have several books lined up and I have a list of books I want to read afterward.

And last, but not least, we were able to put a check mark on traveling to the Stockyards.  It was a very fun time and we hope to do it one more time before we leave for Japan.  You can see pictures of our trip here.

Now that we are halfway through the year, you should be seeing progress on your goals.  If you’re struggling on continuing with your goals, it is ok to ask for help.  Sometimes we need a helping hand to get us through the struggle.  Comment below on the progress you have made on your goals.  If you haven’t been working toward your goals, then what’s your excuse?
