It’s vital to take note of your progress on your goals on a regular basis and monthly is a great start.  Make sure you are consistently writing down your progress on goals weekly and monthly.  I will explain in greater detail later.  Here is an update on some of my goals and how some of them have changed:

Some of my biggest progress has come with my blog.  My social media following increased this month by more than 750!  Those numbers are based off of my Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, Instagram and Pinterest accounts.  Recently, I changed two of my goals and combined them.  Once I can achieve 100 followers on WordPress, I will create my first video.  I also almost doubled the amount of views I had in July.  It may not seem like a lot of views to a lot of people, but starting off with only a few views on my first couple of posts, to where I am now is a significant improvement.  I also feel as if I have made my best blog posts in this past month and I am excited to continue the trend and providing better content.  Here are what I believe are my best to blog posts to date: 5 Ways to Change Your Life From Negative to Positive and How to Improve Your Relationship.

The more I read and write, the more I am able to focus on what the mission and goal is for Melvin. I want to help improve education and offer more classes and knowledge to help people.  I also would like to add life coaching to Melvin as well.  It will take some time, but I think the additions will greatly improve what I stand for.  I have felt a greater passion for increasing my library.  If there are any suggestions, please feel free to share in the comment section some of your favorite books!

I think the biggest change in August has been our pending move.  We’ve been in the hotel for 10 days now and we will be boarding our first flight this morning.  It’s nerve racking because we don’t know how the kids will act, but my wife has put together a lot of activities to keep them entertained.

My immediate goals for September are to make sure we get settled in Japan with minimal distractions and things going wrong.  I also intend to have a better Instagram and Pinterest strategy for this month.  I want to say that on here for accountability purposes.

Remember to make note of all of your progress and hold yourself accountable.  If you want to be successful, you have to be fully invested in building yourself up to greatness.  What progress did you make on your goals in August?  Have you made any new goals for September?

What’s your excuse?
