Your Mindset is Everything

Do you ever wonder why you haven’t achieved your goals?  Why you haven’t started working toward your goals? Why you’re always making excuses?  Your mind is not right.  Your mindset will dictate your progress in your life.  Your mindset will control the narrative of your life.  You hold the pen for your life’s story, how will you write it?

“Those who say they can and those who say they can’t are both right.”  If you have the mindset that you can’t do something or you fear failure, then you’re not going to be able to do it.  If you believe in yourself, if you believe you can do it, then you can do it.  Don’t fear failure, but embrace it.  Embrace the lessons that will present themselves to you and learn from them.  Most people don’t get the opportunity to fail because they let fear get the best of them and they give up before the lesson arrives.  You must BELIEVE in yourself if you are going to succeed, if you want to make progress in your life.

I hear “fake it until you make it” all the time and that absolutely frustrates me. Why fake it?  All it takes is for you to believe it.  I’ve mentioned how I greet people before.  When people ask me how am I doing, I always say outstanding.  I believe my days are outstanding even when most people wouldn’t believe that.  Your mindset is everything.

Stop making excuses and believe in yourself.  Change your mindset and you will see the positive changes in your life.  If you continue to believe you can’t do something or that it won’t happen, then you will constantly be in a negative lifestyle.

  1. Thank you! Mindset is everything when it comes to making changes, achieving goals and believing in myself. I often told those I worked with on their weight loss goals that if “you change your mindset, you will change your world!” Believing and changing a mindset is so hard though, especially when that negative mindset has been embedded in our psyche for a lifetime. Yet, shifting our mindset can be achieved! Though, I do believe in “fake it til you make it” because that is what I had to do to make a huge shift in my mindset and believe in my worth. You see, I started by looking in the mirror one morning and saying “I am worth it”, and I said it even though at that moment I did not believe it. And I did it every morning for quite some time, even though I still did not fully believe it, until one morning, I did believe it! I now know without a doubt that I am worth it. This is great! I would love to share it with others! Thank you, again for writing this and reminding me just how powerful our mindset is! Terri

I’m glad I can help. “Those who say they can and those you say they can’t are both right.” When you said “I am worth it” in the mirror you may not have believed it, but you spoke it into existence. You didn’t necessarily fake it, because you wanted it. You told yourself what you wanted and you made yourself believe it and changed your mindset. I’m glad to hear you now believe in yourself!
